7th Annual Day-Glo Show, Waterloo Arts, Cleveland (2019)

Waterloo Arts Gallery in the Collinwood neighborhood of Cleveland holds an annual exhibition where the Cleveland Day-Glo Color Corporation provides materials for artists to use in producing their pieces. Ultimately, the work is exhibited under blacklight, with UV/3D glasses provided to better see the work. Amy Callahan and Angela Oster, curators. In 2019, I was invited to participate, and received not only paints, but Day-Glo dyes to work with as well. The piece I made is silk dyed with Day-Glo dyes, and painted in Day-Glo colors, mounted through a 3/4 piece of plexi. These images are of the exhibition and the process.
